How Google search works?
Do you guys remember the days
when we used to pay charges for internet surfing at internet cafe? At that time
Google was not so popular and public used to remember website names for accessing?
But the time has changed; now everything is available on Google, whether you
ask for map, café, famous personality or anything you wish, result will be in
front of you.
Do you ever think how Google search or any other search engine works?
Suppose you want to know what height
of undertaker is, you would simply type words like – undertaker height, height of
undertaker or any other words in your local language in search engine, anything
you wish to know you will simply type and search in respective search engine. The
question is how Google or any other search engine knows what results are to be
given? Beside this Google also shows different result pages. First of all that it
should be kept in mind that Google cannot search entire internet. It should be remembered
that the results/webpage that are available on Google are not only the
internet, the internet itself is a very wide and deep area. Internet also
covers deep web, dark web etc. Whenever you search for anything on the Google,
it will show only those information/websites/results that are indexed to
Google. In this whole process Google
take use of a special program called web crawler or spiders, these are the programs that completely scan the websites or
websites and notices the links/results and this way these programs i.e.
spiders/web crawlers maintains a index.
When you simply type “height of
undertaker” crawlers will first index the three words and looks for
websites/links where this words are available also there will be millions of
results where the three words will be available, after this relevancy is
checked in the way that does these words are covered in title or keywords etc.
simply there are many protocols to check the criteria for search. These also
includes how links are interlinked, which website refers which website, which
website is more searched, which website is most popular, authenticity of
website etc. After all these stuff Google shows you the results.
